The Best Week of the Summer is just two weeks away! We hope all of you adults and Campers are coming up with awesome costumes for our Superhero Costume Event, and we’ve already had a few young comedians and actors jump into the Improv Track – but it’s not too late to sign up for it!

We just sent out an email to all of the adult leaders with what you need to take care of for your Volunteer Training and online release form submissions. Check your spam folder if, for some reason, you didn’t get it.

Waitlist Update

We’ve been working hard to get as many Campers as possible off of the waitlist and into Camp. We’ve partnered with a local church near Woodland Camp to host 20 students and adults from the waitlist off-site for the week (two entire church groups with chaperones), which has helped us move Campers up the waitlist. As of right now our 65+ person waitlist is down to about 30, with a few more emails set to go out this afternoon.

If you have Campers still on the waitlist, here’s what you need to know:

  • If you want a Camper to be taken off so that their parents can make alternate plans, email us and let us know. We know plans change, and not everyone is able to wait until the last minute. Moving them off the list will move someone else one step closer to Camp. We’ll put the Camper’s name on a list for a special pre-Early Bird registration period for 2019.
  • With this many students on the waitlist still, WE ABSOLUTELY CAN NOT TAKE SUBSTITUTIONS AT THIS TIME. That means that if you have a cancellation, that spot goes to the next student up on the waitlist that can fill the spot and not a Camper from your group – especially if they are not already on the waitlist. It may not seem like a big deal, but there are Campers on the waitlist who have been patiently waiting for spots since the end of April. Please, don’t ask.
  • Our off-site arrangement is a new thing this year, but due to some of the logistical restrictions of the site, we can’t move any more people off-site. Nor will we put individual Campers from the waitlist into off-site housing apart from their group.

Thank you for your understanding. The waitlist is never a fun thing, especially when we’ve had to say “no” to kids who really want to go to Camp. We’re already discussing 2019 even as we wrap up the final stretch of prep for this year.

In the meantime, we’re working to make our 10th anniversary celebration of Camp something special and we can’t wait to kick it off in two weeks!
