Wow, it’s almost time for registration! Here are some updates on a bunch of different things:

Vineyard Chattanooga is now Ekklesia – A Vineyard Church!

On January 1, Vineyard Chattanooga changed its name to Ekklesia – A Vineyard Church, or Ekklesia for short. We’re really excited about the change and what God has in store for our local community! With a big change like this, though, there are always some snags – in this case, it was the web host of Ekklesia having troubles with the transition. Since the Camp website is hosted on the same account, those issues affected campvineyard.com as well. Now that’s all resolved (we hope!), we have been making updates to campvineyard.com in preparation for registration!

Also, if your group elects to pay by check this year, it can be made out to Camp Vineyard, Ekklesia, or Vineyard Chattanooga. It all goes to the same spot, and our bank knows to still process anything made out to the former name. Our address is still 6028 Shallowford Rd, Chattanooga TN 37421

New Neat! Groups

We’ve got two great new Neat! Groups to announce: Pastor’s Kid Pro Tips and Many Golf! The first will be led by Michael Sterns, who grew up knowing what it was like to be used for sermon illustrations, and has a heart for helping kids whose parents are in ministry. The second is a combined activity – first, the kids will get in 9 holes on Woodland’s new Mini Golf course, then they’ll try their skills at Frisbee Golf! It’s not just one golf, it’s Many Golf!

Camp Nurses

It’s been so wonderful to have both Bill and Krysta as our Camp Nurses the last several years. Unfortunately, both life and work schedules make it impossible for either of them to make it to Camp this year. So, that means we’re looking for 2 Camp Nurses for 2019.

Qualifications & Job Description: Must be a licensed LPN, RN, or ARNP (EMT/Paramedic and MD accepted as well, of course) in good standing in their home state (bonus if licensed in GA) with valid CPR certification. The ideal candidates will be skilled in reducing drama in stressful situations (Because Bill and Krysta are both awesome at that, and we will miss their skills in that area as well!).

Duties include collecting prescription medications at Check-In, administering medications per parent/guardian provided schedules, recordkeeping of medication administration and accident/incident reports when needed, safekeeping of prescription meds at Camp, First Aid during events and games, initial emergency response and evaluation as needed, returning prescription medications to group leaders at the end of Camp, patient transport to urgent care or hospital for non-emergency situations, and other reasonable duties as needed. There will be some pre-Camp work with registration data in the 2 weeks before Camp, and we will provide training on ACTIVE.

All candidates must be able to pass a background check, and will require an interview via Skype/Hangout/Facetime, if they’re not local to the Chattanooga area. If you have someone in your church who fits this description, let us know!

That’s it for now! The Parent & Volunteer Pack with all the forms will post this week, and Registration opens March 1 at 10:00am Eastern!
