That’s right! Three weeks from right now, we’ll be in the middle of Camp Vineyard 2021! We’ve got a big update to our COVID-19 policies in the Parent & Volunteer Pack, plus the schedule for this year.

COVID-19 Updates
Since our last update to these at the beginning of May, the CDC has greatly modified their guidance for youth camps. After Woodland provided their updated guidelines, we have adjusted ours to follow suit. Again, you can download them in the Parent & Volunteer Pack to read them in full. Here are some changes:

Masks
If you are fully vaccinated (received your last dose on or before June 7), you’re not required to wear a mask at any time. If you’re not fully vaccinated, we will ask you to wear a mask indoors during large group sessions, indoor Neat! Groups, in the dining hall when you’re not seated, and any other time you’re indoors and physical distancing can’t be achieved. That means that most Campers will be wearing masks indoors in those situations. If you’re at higher risk for severe illness, you’re encouraged to wear a mask even if you’re fully vaccinated. And, of course, if you’re vaccinated and more comfortable wearing a mask, you are very welcome to do so.

Temperature and Symptom Screening
We will still screen everyone at the medical station at Check-In. During the week, we will have 2 extra medical staff on site. Per latest guidance, we will not be doing daily temperature checks, and the medical staff will be keeping tabs on attendees.

As a reminder, we are encouraging everyone to get a PCR or Antigen COVID test 72 hours or less before Camp. 50 Spirit Points to your team for every completed test submitted online at https://campvineyard.com/account or shown at Check-In.

Free Time
We added some guidance about Gaga Ball, Basketball, and other games like that. Basically, just play those with your Color Team. You’re still welcome and encouraged to hang out with people not on your Color Team if you’re outside and able to maintain a little distance.

Meal Protocol
This hasn’t changed since the last update, but we wanted to remind all group leaders about it. We will be eating in shifts, Color Teams need to sit together, and one person per table can go get rolled silverware for the table. There will be some other things to know about cleanup, drinks, and seconds that we’ll talk about at Camp. This week, Woodland is testing and adjusting their procedures, so this may change a little.

Schedule
This should look familiar if you’ve been to Camp before! Read it carefully, though, we’ve made some changes:

That’s it! We are so excited, we can’t wait to see you in less than three weeks!
