9 weeks to go!  That means we’re getting a lot of questions from folks about various details about camp.  So, I’ll post some more common answers here:

What time does camp start and end?

Check-In will start at 10:00 Monday morning, and the Opening Session kicks off at 2:30.  There’s a counselor meeting at 2:00 in the dining hall, and we’ll have a big group game going in the chapel for the campers at that time.

Camp ends at noon on Friday.  You’ll spend the morning cleaning the cabins and packing, so as soon as we say the “Amens” at the Closing Session, you can load up and head home.

Can I bring a bus, an RV, or a Giant Transforming Robot?

Yes to the bus and RV, send us an email to get details about hookups and parking places, as space is limited.  No to the Giant Transforming Robots.  I wish, but Woodland won’t let us tear up their fields like that.

Is there internet access?

Yes, there’s limited wireless availability for counselors needing to check email.  However, we’re not going to camp to noodle around on facebook all day, so we really would prefer to use the wifi as little as possible.  It’ll be like the distant past — Or at least the 90’s.

Will you post a schedule before camp?

Absolutely.  We’re really close to having the schedule finished.  The change in venue has meant we’ve added some new items to the schedule and shifted several events around.  We’ll post the schedule here, as well as announce it via facebook and twitter.

I’ve got another question about X, who should I talk to?

Please, if you have any other questions, send us an email.  One thing, and it’s a biggie: Please don’t contact Woodland Camp directly. They have a full slate of groups coming this summer, and are already super busy.  If you have a question about their facilities, their events, or some other thing, send it to us, and we’ll pass it along.

We send them batches of questions every few days about things, so it’s no big deal to add your question to the list.  We’re happy to help you get an answer, and we’re happy to help reduce the workload on our friends at Woodland.  (Plus, we really want them to like us so that they’ll let us use our Giant Transforming Robots one day.)

That’s it!  9 weeks from right now, we’ll be finishing up small groups on our first full day at camp!

*You know, I remember when you could actually build a radio from the parts at Radio Shack.
